Olive Oil & Honey Tasting – Winery & Olive Museum

A full-day private experience that combines local tradition, cultural heritage and authentic Cretan flavors. This tour offers a well-balanced journey through some of the most characteristic products and traditions of the countryside.

The experience begins in Ano Vouves, where you will visit the famous ancient olive tree, estimated to be over 3,000 years old. Right next to it, the Olive Museum introduces you to the history of olive oil production and its importance in local culture.

The journey continues with a visit to a family-run business, where you will taste pure Cretan honey and extra virgin olive oil while learning about traditional production methods.

You will then visit a selected winery, where you will explore local grape varieties and enjoy a guided wine tasting experience combined with local products.

The tour concludes at the Monastery of Panagia Odigitria Gonias, a historic site with cultural and religious significance, offering insight into the island’s heritage.

Throughout the day, you will travel through scenic routes with green landscapes, countryside views and traditional villages.

Pickup and drop-off are included from Chania and surrounding areas. The tour is private for groups of up to 8 people, accompanied by a local professional licensed English-speaking driver.
