With the scenic backdrop of the old harbor of Chania or Marathi, we embark on a journey to the magnificent lagoon of Balos.

Our first stop is the exotic Balos Lagoon, a protected Natura 2000 area often described as the “Caribbean of Greece.” Dive into the magnificent turquoise waters and feel the unique white and pink crushed-shell sand beneath your feet.

Next, we cross over to the Island of Gramvousa. This island holds immense historical significance; you can hike to the summit to explore the imposing 16th-century Venetian Castle. Built to guard the Cretan Sea, this fortress later became a stronghold for revolutionaries and a legendary pirate base. Don’t forget to capture a photo of the famous shipwreck resting near the shore before we continue our adventure.

To conclude our epic day, we sail toward the world-famous Elafonissi Beach. As the sun begins to soften, you will experience the “crown jewel” of Crete. Known for its shallow, crystal-clear lagoons and the iconic pink sand created by thousands of crushed shells, Elafonissi is the perfect place for a final, relaxing swim in a tropical setting.

After witnessing the best of Western Crete from the luxury of our boat, we set sail for a smooth return journey back to the Old Port of Chania or Marathi, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
