A full-day private experience that brings together local tradition, authentic flavors and the cultural heritage of the Cretan countryside. This tour is designed to offer a balanced journey through history, gastronomy and everyday local life.
Your day begins in the village of Ano Vouves, where you will visit the legendary Olive Tree of Vouves, estimated to be over 3,000 years old. Right next to it, the Olive Museum offers insight into the long-standing tradition of olive oil production and its importance in local culture.
The experience continues with a visit to a family-run business, where you will taste pure Cretan honey and extra virgin olive oil while learning about traditional production methods. You will then visit a carefully selected winery, where you will explore local grape varieties and enjoy a guided wine tasting paired with regional products.
The tour concludes with a meal at a traditional restaurant, where authentic Cretan recipes are prepared using fresh, local ingredients.
Throughout the day, you will travel through scenic routes with green landscapes, vineyards, and traditional villages.
Pickup and drop-off are included from Chania and surrounding areas. The tour is private for groups of up to 8 people, accompanied by a local professional licensed English-speaking driver.
